Brand new map of Greenland creating political problems
Producing a map can be an extremely difficult undertaking. Atlas-makers and map-makers have a tough job - the choices they make are socially, politically, and in some circumstances even scientifically charged. Greenland is losing some ice mass due to melting. The Times Atlas, however, is at the center of a discussion after publishing a map that showed a 15 percent decrease in icemass.

I'm angry. I've counted to ten and I'm still angry. Al Gore, politician and climate change hyper and hypocrite has won the Nobel Peace Prize (of all things - what's peace got to do with it?) along with the arch-hypers of climate change, the IPCC. At least a British court has seen through some of the hype this week.

I've not much to add really, except to say that I think shows clearly the difficulties and dangers of modelling something as complex as climate (or, indeed carbonates) in a computer. It's not as easy as you might at first think...

Just watching The Great Global Warming Swindle on Channel 4. I have to say that I agree with most of what they say, and have agreed with the background for quite along time.
