Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has any interesting geology pictures? I'm just going into my third year of a geology in UCD Dublin and this year am involved in the university's geological society called RocSoc. I'm in charge of making all the posters and membership cards for freshers week, in which the society will have a recruitmant stand to try and get the new first year students throughout the college to join. The amount of members we enrol will determine the amount of funding we get for the year so it's a pretty inportant job! I just thought i'd ask if anyone has any eye catching images i could use, or perhaps a personal favourite geological image I could use. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Laura,
Well, this site has a whole host (>200) geological images that are free to use: just click on the images link at the top of the page...
My favourite in all the images is this one:
/images/capitan_reef
or maybe this one:
/images/sequence_stratigraphy
(though it looks dull to the uninitiated...)
Remember to click "Original" on any image to get the highest resolution possible.
For more images; try Flickr, Wikicommons or yotophoto
Hope that helps!
