Frilled shark on film

A rare frilled shark (rare 'cos they live at 600m and therefore not seen too often) has been filmed.

not the prettiest thing around. looks kinda like a megalodon. theres another ugly fish!

Looks nothing like a megladon. A great white looks like a megladon. I think it's a pretty fish

I apologise, i got mixed up. i meant the megamouth, and now i have looked it up, it doesn't really look like that either! :oops:
but the megamouth is an ugly fish.

Yikes, those teeth are something else. I remember hearing about/seeing a couple pictures of weird looking stuff that washed up on shore after Hurricane Katrina came through last year.

I'm surprised that thing can survive at that shallow of a depth. I thought usually fish and other animals explode when they get that shallow or out of the water because they're used to such high pressures way below. I wonder what he was doing. Just checking out the sun I suppose.

i think that animals of the deep (say in omnious tones) only tend to explode if they surface too fast. like being caught in a net and pulled up!
