I apologize for the random post...but I'M FREAKING EXCITED!
Today I purchased some tools from AmatureGeologist.com.
I have purchased many Geology books and things of that sort, but this is the first time I've actually got some real tools. It is also the first time I have paid for a rock and mineral collection.(usually I dig around for my own). I figured I will need the rock/mineral set for upcoming classes.
Here is what I got:
Earth Science Collection, Introductory 75 rocks and minerals and extras.
Estwing Supreme 22oz Rock Hammer and leather sheath.
Valley Fiberglass Handled 3lb Cross Pein Hammer
Estwing Gad Pry Bar GP-18
Estwing 1-1/8'' x 8'' Rock Chisel
Estwing 3/4'' x 9'' Rock Chisel
Now...I just have to figure out where I can go in Florida to dig around
I know a few areas that have rock formations...and of course there is plenty of limestone and coral...I just have no idea where I can get pieces legally...

good luck with that, beware the alligators as you slosh through the swamps looking for something hard!

I did some searching online...looks like there are a few places nearby where I can find Limestone and Agotized Coral.
