This might sound strange but it makes you feel really good, just write down whatever random thoughts are in your head at the moment...it helps clear your mind up a bit and helps reduce stress.

1. Reindeer might be disappointing now that Jon's said ostrich is tastier
2. Weekend break in 2 days!
3. I've spent tooo much in the canteen today
4. In fact, I've spent too much money this week!
5. Why do I never comment on anything about geology anymore?

They are out of newspapers in the stand outside this building, I'm sad. I need to do the crossword!

This two hour break between classes is taking forever. I still have an hour left.

It got real cold real fast here today, it was 70 yesterday but 40 today, and windy (which it pretty much never is). Didn't really expect that when i left my house, kinda underdressed. It's ok though, this is my favorite shirt.

I've never eaten ostrich or reindeer.
I've led a sheltered life.
I like to go out smacking rocks.
Accompanied by my wife.
My daughter's CV joints are worn.
She needs another car.
But tapping me up for lifts all the time
Isn't going to get her far.

Somebody bust my wing mirror when I was parked at the magistrates court.
No I didn't do anything wrong, I was taking notes.
But I got the wrong directions and ended up somewhere completely different.
Therefore I was too late.
But I went inside anyway.
Which is when the mirror got bust.
So it must be karma for being so flippant about Jenny's "don't you hate it" post.
And now it's stuck together with sellotape.
Otherwise the middle falls out.
But currently it's raining and I don't think it will hold.
So on my way over to St Austell tonight it will end up strewn all over the road.
And I don't know much about the lecture I'm taking.
But neither does anyone else.
So that's all right.

Jenny, if you were prepared to travel all the way down here to just bust the wing mirror, the least you could do is nick the engine as well!

I might have been a poet but I probably wouldn't know it. I tend to be a clown 'cos I don't like feeling down. I'm really a bit of a berk for doing this at work. It saves me from feeling bored but now I'm lost for a word.

I remember getting an MOT at a garage in Wales years ago, recommended by a mate. You just walked in, the guy asks if your car's fit to drive, you say yes and hey presto an MOT. 5 minutes max but the same price as a normal one. You could have got an MOT for a bucket of rust which is what a lot of my cars were back then. Gone upmarket since - I won't buy a car that's gone round the clock more than twice.

Hey Jenny - is that rice pudden ready yet????? I'm starvin'

Strangely I have always had a yearning to try my hand at archery as well - what causes a thing like that I wonder? I used to be quite good at darts (could hit the board 7 out of 10 times!), but haven't played since I left the Army. Could bows and arrows be an extention - or could I be decended from Robin Hood?

There we are, back again. It wasn't a mega-long lunch, just my connection crashed.

The bird was a long-billed dowitcher, normally from North America and it should have been going to South America but got blown off course a bit by the hurricanes. In a good year you can get 5 in Britain, normally none at all. There's a piccy on my computer but I've forgotten how to get it from my pictures onto here.

You'd be best off looking on the Grand National Archery Society's website: http://www.gnas.org

They have a clubs section, so you should be able to find one near you. To join a club you have to first do a beginners course. Mine cost £30 for 6 x 2hr lessons. Gives you a good taster to see if you want to take it up before you go out and buy the necessary equipment.

and you'll only have to wear green tights if you want to compete in compettitions!

My computer at home's got bird flu.
The other computer at work's packed up too.
So I can't do anything useful at work.
Which is why I'm irritating my colleagues.
By being cheeky and demanding.
At some point they'll get fed up.
And someone will throw a stapler at me.
Which will raise a lump somewhere.
And I'll do the MOD for harrassment.
Which will make me rich.
That's the plan anyway.

1. I really want to take up archery
2. Thanks goodness my auctions are doing well, I might be able to spend some of that money on my kit.
3. But the study needs decorating, so that's more important
