No sooner said than done! It looks like it is still in development - they used to be hosted on a university website, and are migrating material from there. 

When you think of the resources Africa has, and the need for economic development, geosciences have so much to offer the continent.

I'd love to go the East African Rift Valley (and lots of other places in Africa too!), but yes, Afrirca does have a lot of resources. Unfortunately they are being exploited by large multinationals for profit, not to help the populus.

Ain't it always the way - and of course it is us in the North who benefit, through cheap goods produced from the raw materials. What's the mineral used in mobile phones that's won in the Congo? A country torn by civil war, yet we can still get our silly ring-tones and naff pink fashion accessories.

 Columbo-tantalite or coltan, that's the stuff, has niobium in it. These things come to me eventually!
