Points are awarded for submitted material. The more points you gain, the higher you get on Moh's hardness scale. The following shows the number of points accrued for each material type:
- Forum topic: 1 point
- Posting a poll: 1 point
- Commenting on any page: 1 point
- Posting a news story: 2 points
- Inviting a new member (points awarded once member signs up): 2 points
- Blog entry: 2 points
- Submitting an image: 5 points
- Submitting a link: 5 points
- Submitting a word definition for the glossary: 5 points
- Submitting an article: 50 points
- Submitting a tutorial: 50 points
Points are awarded when the material is submitted. However, your material may not be accepted (the reasons why will be explained to you, see the review section) and the points will be subtracted from your total.
