Hi everyone,

I'm sure you all know about Yorkshire pudding originating as a pudding, I suggested to my wife that we should try putting some cocoa in the batter to make a chocolate version, to eat with ice cream & she laughed at me!

What do you guys n' gals think?

Yorkshire Pudding is traditionally served with jam & cream so I'd be tempted to give that one a try first.

The only problem you might have with substituting some of the flour with cocoa is that it can make things quite bitter if you're not adding sugar...

Worth having a go though Smiling face

I'm definately going to try it, however the missus is very meticulous about her kitchen (I'm not usually even allowed in there! ) I need a day when she is out, so that I have plenty of time to tidy up the mess!

I'm from Yorkshire and the thought of our beloved pudding being contaminated by something as crass as chocolate is, quite frankly, abhorrent!

Hey Gus,

If it wasn't for people like me, pushing the envelope all the time, Yorkshire Pudding may never have been invented! Winking
