Next weeks Planet Earth, entitled 'Cave' looks interesting. I shall definately be watching, preferably whilst putting my feet up and getting the missus to make a nice cuppa!
Being an underground person, I'm hoping the next one's going to be good. But so far, although it's been stunning, there's been something lacking. But I'm not sure what - maybe it's the feeling of disorientation. I'm on Lake Baikal one minute and Lake Titicaca the next, except I don't think the latter was shown. See how easily confused I get?
I know what you mean Gus, they don't seem to stick with anything fro very long. I think the longest bit about 1 subject was the bit about the Snow Leopards...
Saw the caving one and, oh dear, feeling a bit underwhelmed by it. The camera zooming up Batpoop Mountain was quite amusing but a bit unnecessary: their time would have been better spent showing shots of what is probably the largest chamber in the world, in the same cave. So big that clouds form in the roof! But they would have had to do some proper caving to get there.
The crystals in Lechuguilla weren't as big as they looked - they were only a centimetre or so across and were shots of the tips of the bigger formations.
On the plus side, they did show brief footage of Upper Long Churn cave in Yorkshire at one point.
And as for base-jumping into open shafts. How irresponsible is that? I wouldn't do it if you paid me.
the series has been amazing ...it is sad that we have to wait ages for the next series.
i like that they have put mini clips on thier website, i have been using them in my classes for adaptation and for rocks and weathering..good to use as they are short and make an impact.

What if the hokey cokey really is what it is all about?
Must get round to watching this series sometime. Why have we got to wait ages Ali Cat? Oh, of course. Evolution has to produce a complete new set of beasties first. Should have thought of that straight away. :?

I've really liked it so far too...although I fell to sleep during the first one (just as the baby elephant walked into a tree)
I'm looking forward to the next episode!

John,
Common sense? Sorry, I've not come across that phrase before. Did it come out of that Babelwhatsit translation thingy?
