Helloo. Where's everybody gone? Am I the only one left or is there some conspiracy? Is there another forum somewhere that everyone's migrated to but not bothered to tell me because I've suddenly become Billy Nomates? Or is there something more sinister afoot - like all proper geologists have been cyber-kidnapped and only the fake ones are left behind to ramble interminably on and on. That would explain it then.
I would attempt to get your stats up by posting various other threads, but I think I've virtually saturated the forum anyway. Maybe that's the problem. :?
I doubt that Gus! Lot's more you could post yet, I'm sure Most of the visitors come from Google, so I doubt they are "regular posters".
It may be because I've not been around much, posting (I still visit every day to check things over). I try and keep threads going and hence keep people coming back (so subtle, you wouldn't know either!), but I've been extremely busy of late.
Anyway, nearly done one of my New Year resolutions, which may also help improve visitor numbers here
I'm here, I check everyday. I just don't know much so I can't add anything to most posts.
Same as me then. You could also do the same as me and fill the posts with rubbish. Any old tat will do. Just a quick look through my contributions will confirm that.
Jenny, it's sad that you're human rights have been abused in such a draconian manner. Tell me who your boss is and I'll go and sort him/her out. My pleasure.
Bit late but I'm here too, as well, also!!! For some reason notification of posts stopped arriving in my e-mail. Its better now following a dollop of cough mixture in a USB port

Alright, I think. The questions on the geophysics paper were fairly easy
(and what I'd revised which is always a help). Sedimentary petrology was a joke; all the questions were off the papers from the last three years, so I'd seen them all before and could answer all six. I only needed to answer three though, so I spent the first five minutes trying to decide which to answer!
If my other three go that well the week after next I'll be happy.

Still here, Gus. It does seem very quiet recently, doesn't it? I assume everyone is busy...

It seems very quiet Jon. But thanks for making me feel less paranoid than I did a few hours ago.

Just had a look at the logs and we're getting 40 less visitors a day than we were last month...very quiet indeed!

I've been looking at a few other sites. The new Lunar Photo of the Day site takes a bit of study as it's run by a proper lunar scientist. 8)

Have been so out of it recently, and they been cracking down on internet use at work too so that's not helped.

Hi Jenny!
Thought we'd bored you to death
Hope things are well?
Shame about your work cracking down on internet access - don't they realise that surfing the internet is right that all humans should have?

I am thinking about taking it to the European court of Human Rights; they seem to be able to get anyone anything they want
I will try and post more from now on...I can't guarantee that it'll be worth reading though

I rarely post anything of any worth or meaning. Which just goes to show that you should never trust a geologist...

All the coursework is finished for the time being at least.
Just the exams and the exam revision... not in that order, obviously...

Tomorrow I have Applied Geophysics and Sedimentary Petrology. So I'll definitely be needing all the luck I can get.
