I found these in Almscliffe Crag, North Yorkshire, which I'm pretty sure is carboniferous. Does anyone know exactly what they are? I'll submit them to the site's images once they've been IDed.

Top one looks like Stigmaria with a bit of Lepidodendron? Bottom could be (and this is a wild guess) Sigilliaria. Why? 'Cos they are all the same plant (Lepidodendron) hence my guesses Winking

Almscliffe Crag is Carboniferous - Millstone Grit series to be precise.

I concur with Jon on the first picture, however the second might be Calamites - a horsetail, or something similar.

Good point, Ben. It could indeed be a horsetail.
