Chevron Folding in the cliffs of north cornwall. They were formed in the Variscan Orogeny. (The red blob near the bottom of the picture is my lecturer)

Wed, 04/04/2007 - 00:09This example of folding is terriffic. I can follow the layers with less difficulty. This is great. May I use this as an illistration for when I view my landscape and road cuts. I plan to go up to our Mt. Able in CA. when the road opens for the summer.

Wed, 04/04/2007 - 17:49Thank you for this picture. I will give credit to this site. The road I go to is nothing compared to the picture above.  Is this picture taken in the United States?  Using this I will be able to locate more features on Mt. Able. The road is closed every winter due to snow and rock slides. Thank you for all you input.
