Getting near the end!
Hi All,
I haven't actually posted anything on the site in what is likely to be years, but I keep flicking in and out to see what topics come up.
I am nearling the end of my European Masters in Geotechnics and rock like stuffs. Not quite the pure geology I had aimed at when I started university nearly 3 and a half years ago, but thats life! Currently a month away from completing the EGEC, course which is in the Federation of European Mining Programs.

Now a few months into the course, and im enjoying every min!
Anyone see that "earth" program the other day with Dr Ian Richards? I really enjoyed it! normally that kind of program bores me because they dont go into enough detail, (understandibly), but that one was a good watch.
Got a presentation to do on frictional melting at faults, which should prove interesting! Got as far as "introduction:....." should probably do more to it.

Now sitting here in computing, wondering what my teacher is going on about. the usual really! supposed to be doing stuff on operating systems. all sounds easy enough, but i have always had problems doing these bits. giev me a program to run, and thats ok(ish). but start asking me stuff on academic side of computing, and i'm stuck!
Never mind. got my Charmouth feildtrip info through the post this morning. a 4 day trip to the Jurrasic coast. more of my thing really! thats the courswork trip. should be good.

Exams are over for a few months now! yay! Literately just finished my geology one, and its ok. I think I'm looking at a B. Or a C if I'm unlucky. but it feels better than a C. Which i don't think is bad considering doing a physics exam this morning. But i know the reason for me feeling good; i had my lucky stone on the desk in front of me. Its about an inch and half long, by inch wide. made of shale, with quartz veins running length ways along it.
Theape's first go at a blog thingy!
just having a go! 'cos i'm sitting here at college bored and pondering if i want to go and revise physics.
