'Ello everone!
Hi all that knew me. Sorry for my long absence. Won't go into details, but hopefully I'm now back on Geology rocks for good. Thanks for keeping in touch Jon.
Mind you this site has changed. I'll have to find my way round it again!
(I've just previewed this and it says I posted this on 1st Jan at 00.00 - its a lie! its actually 22.2. 08 at 11.05)

Just wanted to share this
Just checked the visitor log I keep and wanted to share this moment:
In the last month (14/1 - 14/2) we've had *drum roll* >10,000 unique visits on GeologyRocks
If this keeps on we should easily hit >125,000 this year!
I've attached a PDF of the report summary.
My Foot Shaped Rock
I found my foot shaped rock in a river in TN on the way up to Cades Cove.
I live in Louisiana, and if anyone has seen our muddy water here u would understand that just the thought of seeing a nice clear babbling brook, stream, or river is totally enticing.
Well, we had to pull over and play in the water. About mid-way through, i saw this rock. I thought i was seeing a petrified foot through the water. LOL. I almost didn't pick it up, but then the longer i stood there starring at it and actually wondering "what" it could be, i had to touch it and look at it.

Katie and I are just back from honeymoon in Antigua, and sticking with geological stuff, we saw some amazing things such as Montserrat (from a helicoptor), reefs, and of course, some Antiguan geology. I'll be uploading photos over the next few weeks (we managed to take >2500!!!!).
