Hi

Hi. I discovered this forum whilst looking for information for my class. I am an ex-oil industry petroleum geologist who retrained to be a teacher. Now teach science and Geology A level (which I set up in my first year of teaching). I have a lifelong passion for all things geological and am delighted to be inspiring future geologists (I hope!).

Hi

Hello Nemo,

Welcome to GR! I hope you find it very useful.

I still remember my old Geology teacher from yesteryear. (Well, Geography actually, Geology was a bit neglected at our school .) He always wore the habitual tweed jacket with the suede elbow patches, and had coffee breath that would give an elephant a caffine high! How on Earth I got interested in geology I'll never know!

Ben.

Hi

Loving the description, Ben! My Geology A-Level teachers were very good; both young keen and enthusiastic. There's no wonder I got into it!

Welcome to GR nemo! Please let us know if you have any ideas of things we could do that would help you in your teaching, as that is one of the reasons I set up the site. Hope you find the site useful!

Geologists are gneiss!!
