OUGS
Thu, 02/15/2007 - 13:29Hi Jon, many thanks for the quick response, to my short and sweet introduction. To answer your question the OUGS is the Open University geological society and the course that I'm doing is connected to that. At present Im studying my third year of an OU degree into earth sciences. The course that Im doing this year is sedimentary record of sea level change. Technically I have just started but in reality I've been going for the past 6 weeks since I got my books, trying to juggle collage work and a full time job with 4 kids is quite a challenge. I do intend to be an active part of this forum but I do a lot of work away from home so I may only answer every 2 weeks or so. Once again many thanks and talk again soon

Submitted by ian_mambo on Wed, 02/14/2007 - 18:33.New to the game but a dedicated novice to Geology. came across the web site while doing some reseach into sedamentry process for an assignment and thought this is a group I would like to get involved with. Based in Lancashire and a memeber of the OUGS. Look forward to meeting a few people on future field trips.
