That is pretty cool, i bet it made the drilling team jump! But I do feel sorry for the people that lived there.

Indonesia mud volcano floods.

I saw the article on the news last night about this, and they (BBC) say that it is pumping out a football pitch sized cauldron every day in mud!

In fact, the mud is a big deal right now. This is not a simple mud, it contains toxic particles and gases which could cause many diseases.

In my country, nobody tells the news on the Media, so I think that BBC is making a good job with the headline.

This seems too big an event ot be caused by drilling as it has been reported, I would have thought it more likely that geological conditions caused it.

Indonesia mud volcano floods.

They were drilling a bore hole - if they fractured a layer that was containing the mud, then it would be like shaking a fizzy drink and then drilling a hole in the lid!
Its quite possible that the drilling caused it, its too close to the source not to be involved, but the geological conditions will make it continue.
