Help ID a mystery rock

Help ID a mystery rock

I found this rock a while back in Wisconsin.
It is very heavy for it's size, it feels like a peice of lead.
It weighs 15 grams, just over a half ounce.
Strong green color.

Copper perhaps? The green color maybe the copper changing to malachite (seen when copper weathers.

Yes, that was also my first impression. And copper is quite heavy for its size.

It looks like a mafic rock

It looks like a mafic rock that is beginning to be serpetinised. weathering mafic minerals may well lose some of the cations/metals. if they contain some it may form oxides on the surface.

Judging by the looks and description, I'd say it is malachite which is copper ore that has tarnished.
