I got a shock today when I tried to enter my CPD only to find the Geological Society website has had a facelift!
I've not used it much and my only gripe so far is that they haven't e-mailed the username and password in advance to allow Fellows to access the CPD and Directory part of the site.
That aside, what do people reckon? My first impression is that it is much better - the sub-headings help the navigation and it'll probably be easier to find things now.
Nah, that's 'cos it's a hack for IE. I'm in the process of rewriting the whole CSS to get rid of the annoying-ness. On my big screen GR is not full-width

I can find my around better, but I can't stand fixed width sites - I have a big screen and I wanna use it all!
I'm not keen on the colours. Some bits are still "old style" http://www2.geolsoc.org.uk/template.cfm?name=piclibrary too.

I received my username and password this afternoon.
The site is a bit better than the old one but I can't say that it is brilliant.
The virtual library should be very useful for those of us outside London who can't get to use the real one much

Is that why the headers on the recent posts page leak across to the right hand column when i view it?
(OK I do have my start menu down the left and then firefox browser bookmarks, and desktop sidebar on the right but it is a high res screen)
