Sun, 01/20/2008 - 12:18Thanks hypo - I had found various maps on the internet that could be used (even Google Earth has what seems to be a reaonable reprentation of the main features of the ocean floors) - but sometimes in a classroom it is easier to gather round a map, so I was really after somewhere where people could buy the Heezen/Tharp map.

Ocean floor map
Submitted by Spinney on Sun, 01/20/2008 - 10:43.Does anyone know if you can still buy the world map showing the features of the ocean floor produced by Heezen and Tharp in 1977? I have a copy (which arrived with an Open University course). However I am writing some Earth Science teaching materials, and wanted to use the map as part of a suggested activity - so I need to be able to suggest to teachers where they can get it from. I've had an unsuccessful trawl through various geological and map suppliers on the internet.
Any ideas?
