identifying a rock part 2

so a really long time ago i asked a question about a rock that i didnt have (14 weeks ago to be exact) but wanted to know what it was, then i made a post about how i might have a chance to get it back and then i never said anything again. bassically i got it back and i was so happy i just kind of forgot, then i saw in my bookmarks the page i had made and i came here as soon as possible to make another post. now that i have it back i can see that it is most likely quartz (like i said before) and while its much less spectecular then i remember it being, it is still strange and kind of baffeling. so here are some pictures, if you can tell me what type of quartze this is or if its a different kind of material all together, i will be very thankful Smiling face

(the link might not work at first, if not i will figure it out)

Although there is no scale,

Although there is no scale, by the knap on the towel/bedspread I'd guess the specimen to be about 1.5".

It looks like chalcedony and tending towards the variety known as carnelian.
