Sorry. I've always found
Mon, 04/14/2014 - 13:50Sorry. I've always found the Chartwell one quite adequate. Easy to fit in a map pocket. Big enough to make more than enough notes.
One day you may well have a small pile of them like me, but each has an indexed cover allowing me to search reasonably quickly if I am now taking students to a site.

riteintherain notebook
Mon, 04/21/2014 - 22:35I and many a colleague in the Army find riteintherain notebooks to be very good and have never had any issues.
I have a small pocket book and an A4 side spine notebook.
They may serve you quite well too.

Field notebook
Submitted by guyp994 on Mon, 04/14/2014 - 10:58.Hi there, I need a new field notebook for an upcoming field trip. Can anyone suggest an alternative to Chartwell Survey that is available in the UK? I would ideally like one which is side opening, and thus far I haven't find any suitable Chartwell ones which are side opening.
Thanks in advance
