Directions to Siccar Point

Hi all. Still a bit of a newbie lurker (no longer teach geology as of earlier this year unfortunately). I was hoping someone might be able to help. I am spending next weekend in Edinburgh and decided to take a trip to Siccar Point. I went a few years ago but walked from Pease Bay. Does anyone know if there is anywhere to park nearer and is there a route marked? I think it's now on the 'James Hutton Trail' but no idea if this is waymarked. Many thanks. (Will try and post pictures if visit is successful!).

There is somewhere closer to park! It's a turnip factory Winking

Once parked in the quarry at the end of this road (this is where the factory/warehouse is), go to the north-east corner of the field (essentially keep the buildings to your right) and head up hill. You'll make it to the coast after about 10 minutes and Siccar Point is below you. I plan a visit in the next couple of weeks too and I'm planning to put up a field guide. Do remember, you'll need low tide to visit Siccar Point Smiling face I hope these directions are clear and you find your way Smiling face

Thanks for the reply. Just

Thanks for the reply. Just checked tide times and unfortunately high tide is about 1pm, when I was planning on going! Maybe a trip to the red sandstone in Pease Bay first then Siccar Point.
