hello Tina M Farrell, Do
Sat, 09/15/2012 - 23:18hello Tina M Farrell,
Do you live in or near Franklin, New Jersey, or Cananea or Sonora, Mexico? If so I think these yellowish crystals might be a light-coloured variety sphalerite called CLEIOPHANE, with normal blackish brown sphalerite in the background.
However it is an unusual mineral, so we could do with a better photograph, and a test.
Can you test the hardness for me please. Do you know how to? If not come back and I shall explain.
John
