It looks like weathered iron-stained quartz to me.

Iron stained quartz cannot be bent. Quartz and or iron are hard and brittle. I tried to snap it in half and it bent.

Note the odd shape, quartz does not form shapes like this. 

Any more ideas?

It's either iron-stained quartz or a partially fossilised flip-flop.  Or an alien's eyeball, etc.

Flip-flop?  IT'S A SIGN!! IT'S A SIGN!!!

 Or it could be a bit of creation clay that 'Im Up There left in the oven too long.
