Axe head?

Hey guys my dad found this about 30 years ago in a remote location in the hunter Vally nsw Australia

it is still extremely sharp 

in sunlight the rock seems to have gliter in it more like glass  

 Any info would be appreciated

Maybe an axe, maybe another tool for crafting, but this is a piece of history.

Did you posted on a history-like forum? They may knew better than us.

Very nice, but if you want more information on it you must find an archaeological web site.  It far too new for geologists!!! lol
