Is there a quick read that goes over the fundamental of absolute dating. Specifically, at what point is a rock marked at 0 years of age and do all the isotopes of certain element transfer to fossils at the same rates?
I've found one on Amazon that looks promising:
"Nature's clocks" by Doug Macdougall.
Seems well regarded and could be good. Haven't got it myself but it's on my list.
