Solving the Major Extinctions

Try this new look at paleogeology that attempts to resolve the question of why the major extinctions occurred and how this solution leads to a whole new understanding of paleogeology ... especially the formation and movement of the Indian subcontinent 65 MYA. Thank you for the link.  Had a quick look.  I think it will be interesting to read as soon as I get time.

Antipodal Hotspot Earth Formation

This is a fascinating revisionist theory and history of earth's geologic history only part of which I have read thusfar. While I am not qualified to dispute parts or all of the theoty, I'd venture to say it represents partially factual, partially falacious, cherry-picked data that is contradicted by thousands or perhaps millions of peer-reviewd papers by acknowledged experts in various geological specialties. The major premise of continental and island arc formation by bolide impact antinodal destruction and reconstruction of lithosphere via magma plumes from the core and the dispersal of these new land masses by hydrodynaic motion in a partially molten mantle is seriously challenged by all of the papers in the www.mantleplumes.com site.
