I joined this forum about a week ago, and have just noticed the 'Introductions' section. Hence a thumbnail of myself. I retired from Bristol University (Senior Lecturer in Insect Biology) a few years ago, and was grabbed by geology after attending a day's field course in The Cotswolds. Having spent 2 holidays on Lewis & Harris in the Outer Hebrides, I became fascinated by the ancient rocks there, and how they developed. After a year of reading, I am more confused than ever, but even more interested. If anyone shares my enthusiasm for this area and its rocks, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
