Mon, 12/03/2007 - 18:59Hi there theape. I can't say how good Pembrokeshire is geology wise, but if the weather is fine you will enjoy the visit. Lots of unspoilt coastline once you move away from the refineries around the Haven.

You are most welcome to post pictures; in fact we have a dedicated images section where members add their pics for the whole world to enjoy (under a creative commons licence).
The help pages contain more info, but feel free to email, PM or post on the forums if you have any questions about the site :)
Thank you Hypocentre. I have
Wed, 12/05/2007 - 08:15Thank you Hypocentre. I have downloaded the UK-1 tutorial and started immersing myself in Earth Science. It was James Lovelock's books that provided the trigger to gain more understanding of what is happening to our planet. When the weather clears I intend to go to St.Anne's Head to photograph the wonderfully folded rocks showing on the cliff face. Hopefully by then I will be able to frame a question that won't leave everyone cringing. ![]()

Hi from geriatric newbie
Submitted by Richard on Mon, 12/03/2007 - 14:00.Hi all. I'm retired and living Pembrokeshire. The coastal walks here have some wonderful geology. Some of the rock formations remind me of my time in Namaqualand but I never had time to follow up my curiosity.
Now I have some time I hope I can learn about rocks. I haven't explored the other forums yet. Hope I can post pictures of rocks. Will pics be accepted direct from my PC or must I use something like Photobucket?
Looking forward to meeting you all in due course.
Richard
