Hi! Alan Stewart here, from Glenrothes in Fife. I have an interest in both geology and fossils - they're pretty well intertwined I guess - and enjoy messing around wherever there are rocks to be looked at. My main haunt for the moment is the Lomond Hills, which are a mixture of igneous rock (basalts & dolerite mostly) and Lower Carboniferous limestones and sandstones. By a happy coincidence, there are fossils too!
As it happens, I have a query regarding the geology of the Lomonds, which I will post shortly as soon as I have the details put together. I'm hoping someone can help me solve the puzzle.
Cheers for now
Alan
