Which "velocity" are you
Wed, 05/09/2007 - 06:40Which "velocity" are you referring to? The angular velocity of the daily rotation (which obviously changes depending on latitude) or the velocity of the earth as it goes around the Sun?
If it's the later, then I doubt the Moon has any influence (at least I don't think it does).

I think you can infer is the Moon wasn't there, this slow down in rotation rate would not have occurred.
