Does anyone think that this rock/fossil could be from space?

No one really has any idea what this rock/fossil might be. Someone had posted it could be furnace slag. Does anyone know anyone that I could get in contact with to help me find out?

Yes! Thank you Smiling face

I'm afraid I don't know what those are. They look similar in colour to galena, but I'm not sure they are... the second picture looks almost like it's a coating of solder melted on to a rock...

I think that's also furnace

I think that's also furnace slag or similar. It definitly is not from space IMHO. Too high porosity. Also I see no influence from melting under high speed conditions while moving thru the air.

From what I can see I'd say

From what I can see I'd say furness slag as well.  Perhaps some form of melted metal - have you tried a hardness test on it?

But a space rock - unlikely I think.  Sorry SB

Mystery Metal

I have a few fragments that look very similar to yours.  I think there is a chance it could come from space.  Is it extremely heavy?  Does it have magnetism?  Where did you come across it?  Most people are not qualified to identify this, if it's what I think it is.  I've been working with a small team of analytical scientists and we're slowly coming up with some theories.  I'm curious if you have the same thing I do.  Whatever it is, it's rare.  Let me know!  Thank you, Arthur
