hope you enjoy the course.  I'm beginning to feel left out I didn't study geology at uni!

lol he's a bit busy at the moment applying for jobs and things but yes, I do have my own tutor now.  Hoping we'll get out in the open air for some lesson soon, especially with the weather as gorgeous as it has been!

Haha, yes the weather has been lovely here lately, unfortunately the lecturers won't take us outside for the lectures, but have fieldwork in a couple of weeks so here's hoping the rain stays off! 

 No chance.  Rain clouds wait for field trips.  Its one of the principles of geology.  Something like ...  "Precipitation is directly proportional to the distance from habitation.".

It comes between " Big bloke comes out when you're not looking and spreads sediments flat"   and " The older bits get pushed to the bottom"
