I'm a junior year geology student and I've sent off many applications for internships this summer. I've been reading up about the hiring process and realize that it would be professional and to my benefit if I write a follow up email to the person in charge of hiring for each position. But can anyone give me an idea of what this "Follow-Up" email should look like? I imagine a short, professional email but content is what I'm nervous about. I just don't want to seem too overzealous. Any direction that you can offer will be much appreciated! Thanks!
