Any ideas of what this is?

Hello.

 A friend found this rock on a trip in Mexico, we are not sure what it is, hope you guys can give us a hint.

Is that agate?

What a wonderfull mineral!

It could be agate.

However, I'm not sure if that's agate , let's wait for other opinions.

Also, could you take a closer shot of the rock?

I can't see the photos. 

I can't see the photos.  Probably because I'm on the crappy local library computer this lunchtime.  They're even worse than the ones at work and my wife monopolises the decent one at home.  What a sad life.

Definately agate, and a very

Definately agate, and a very nice sample. Do you know the exact location it was found this would give us hints in determening what gave it that partucular colouration.

 

Nice find though,  what are its vital stats?
