Salton Sea, California

Hello, I have a question about a trip I want to take in the near future. My geology professor spoke to me about Salton Sea a couple of days ago and I've done a little research myself and found mud volcanoes in the area but my professor spoke about there being volcanoes by the shore line. If someone could help me locate them I would appreciate it. I also saw that the SAF is near the lake and was wondering if it could even be seen if I go there. Also if I go see the mud volcanoes should I take any precautions or are they relatively safe to get near them. Thanks!

you do realise....

You do realise that this site is British based?  We do get Americans on here, but you might be better off searching again for a US based site.
