You've got the hotel phone numbers if you need to contact me. We usually return to the hotel by about 7 pm, but no doubt we shall be going out to eat, drink - and of course look at the stone facias of building, kerb stones etc!!!!

Sat, 10/21/2006 - 23:20I can get ready for whatever time you want to start. As a group we normally get away at 9 am.
Hotel Terminus is at the railway station in Donastia.
Are you arriving on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
I don't suppose I shall log on again now so I'll ring you one evening in the week.

Tue, 11/07/2006 - 21:33Really enjoyed the trip to Spain, particularly the weekend that Javi and his lady, Belen, drove from Madrid to join us. We had a really good time. Jon has a load of photos to put on of various geo features, but is currently rather busy. But you'll see them in due course no doubt.
Javi is now trolling round Madrid University in a Geologist Association sweat shirt and I'm sporting a zip-up 'hoodie' with Universidad de Madrid on the back. Just hope David Cameron doesn't spot me and want to hug me!
I'll be doing my usual journal of the trip with about 200 photos, maps, cross sections etc., (probably on powerpoint this time I think) so if anyone would like to read it, I can try e-mailing, if not I'll burn it to disc and send it.

Tue, 11/07/2006 - 21:36PS despite Javis warning of rain we had great weather. In fact, as you can see in the photo above, my hair was wet with sweat and plastered to me ( these field trips play havoc with ones barnet don't they?)
The photo was taken at Hendaye just over the French border.
