Jon I've got some great
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 01:58Jon I've got some great photos of Lyme Regis and a lot of info about the ammonites (my old univbersity lecturer was Kevin Page one of the ammonite experts) so if you need/want any extra bits then give me a yell..
Whilst we're on the subject of field guides could we maybe get a forum section where we can post "self made" field guides up? I've visited wuite a few areas that I've then wrote up for uni that would be great as field guides for anyone else wanting to have a nosey, as I'm sure there are many others on here who have also ![]()

Lyme Regis
Submitted by Jon on Sun, 04/22/2012 - 10:14.Yesterday, I was in Lyme Regis doing a spot of fieldwork with my PhD student and a couple of colleagues. We had some really good discussions on the sedimentology (discussions like this are always better at the rock face). However, the weather was not the best ever...
These hailstones covered the rocks within minutes.
Luckily, it brightened up after that and we could have a good luck around!
I'll add more photos later and once we've published, I'll write it up as a field guide.
Geologists are gneiss!!
