Can anyone help me identify this rock?

Is this a mudstone? Thanks.  How do i describe this?

It looks like flint or chert

It looks like flint or chert to me rather than mudstone.  Was it from a chalk area?

shows a Chert.

Flint is gray to black and nearly opaque because of included carbonaceous matter. Opaque, dull, whitish to pale-brown or gray specimens are simply called chert.
