Everyone is welcome with free goldpanning all weekend.There are some excellent spoil heaps to fossick on. in wanlockhead and leadhillsWe are a friendly bunch and will be happy to instruct on how to gold pan.

I actually did some gold

I actually did some gold panning with a couple of locals in about 1970 at wanlockhead.  In 4 hours we had enough gold to make about a millionth of an earring stud.  But it was a good laugh.  I can't make the event but good luck to anyone who can.

ive been at it since 1992 i do about 2 weeks a year i got about 7 oz with my best nugget at 7.84grams pictured below
