This is the biggest club show in UK. For those of you not yet fully awake it takes place in Bakewell in Derbyshire at Lady Manners School.
Its the biggest because Bakewell is roughly the centre of England and therefore there is a mix of northern and southern mineral and fossil dealers.
This year it is 8th/9th October 10 am to 5.30 pm. It will cost you a whole £1 coin to get in, or you can pay for both days at £1.50! That is good value by any standard.
The advert says 'refreshments available all day', but unless they have changed caterers the truth is that they pack up around 3.30 to 4. Therefore don't leave it too late!
Parking is free. Don't try and be a cheapskate and walk from the town unless you are training for the SAS. You'll understand that when you arrive!
I shall be in the smaller hall (where you get your char and a wad) up in the corner by the window. Please come and say hello, and if anyone has stuff they want identified bring it along. Its is much easier when I can actually hold it...and if I don't know there are around 200 other experts who might know. However I do ask that you put just a few pence in the Help For Heroes tin for this service. Whatever you feel disposed to give will be gratefully recieved, and faithfully applied.
