On Flickr? Join my group

If anyone's a member of Flickr.com, I've just created a new group for earth science images with captions or annotations: stuff people will be able to learn something from, rather than just pretty pictures of rocks, like some of the other geology groups turn out to be. The url is http://www.flickr.com/groups/geoimages/

Isn't this copying the idea of GR images? (Joking btw). Are all the images CC or other free-use licence?

Excellent idea! I should add the link to the "where to get images from" in the help pages...

They are not all CC- it's up to the contributer to decide if they want to make it available or not.

Since making the group I've found out that there is a lot of overlap with this group : http://www.flickr.com/groups/earth_science_teaching_resource/

It's a heck of a lot larger, and all images are free licence so you might want to include that in your page instead, at least for now.
