Just a few lines to let you all know about the Festival of Geology (formerly called The Geologist Association Reunion) at University College London next Saturday - 2nd November.
Entrance is free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes. Something is free in London. (its dry and warm inside as well)
Mostly it is displays of various sorts from various clubs and societies countrywide, with just about 3-4 of us dealers there. Always interesting if you care for geology.
I have asked for the same position as last year (but they do have a habit of moving things round) which should mean I am the first table on the left in the North Cloister. That will mean nothing unless you know the layout, but since the North Cloister is north of the Octagon, and the South Cloister is south of the Octagon, and you will come into the building from the west you really can't get that lost!
There are refreshments, but they are made by the students and a long walk from the halls. Just saying.
