Tutorial: how to add images to posts

How to host images:

I’ll improve upon this tutorial in the next couple of days by adding images showing you exactly where to click and walk us through an example once I find the time to write it up

Hosting files (on Imgur in this case: as its really easy to use)

1.      Sign up to imgur.com

2.      Once signed up you’ll get the main page whenever you go to the website

3.      Click “upload images” on the right side: where it says “Computer” – this will open a window allowing you to select which images to upload.

4.      You can upload multiple images at once by selecting them here (just click and drag the ones you want)

Adding images to posts

1.       Regardless of where you hosted your image: all you need is a direct link to it in order to post on the forum

2.       The easiest way to do this is to navigate to the image on Imgur – right click on it > “copy image URL” and that will put it on the clipboard

3.       Click where on the forum post you want to insert the image

4.       Click the “insert image” button – it resembles a small tree in a square frame – its right next to the “change text colour” button

5.       Click “Okay” to insert the image – and that is you! If required you can adjust the image size and alignment on the post: it’s entirely optional

You can also copy and paste

You can also copy and paste images into posts - using "ctrl + V" to paste (after "right click > copy" on the original image) apparently
