What to do after Uni.
Hi All,
Once again it has been ages since I last updated. Probably close to a year. I am going to write a short blog on my experience and choices in getting to where I am now. I hope this will help others too!
I graduated last year, and spent a bit of time looking at jobs. In the end, I travelled to Australia and applied for jobs over here. I now work in Mount Isa, for Xstrata Copper as a Rock Mechanic.

Hi folks. I hope this works as I am new to this very interesting site. I have some questions and photos that I would love to get some help with. I combe the local beach and find some stunning stones or rocks and some of them, although differ in sixe and shape have a lot of similar paterns etc.

Id this rock?
Main minerals are quartz, plagioclase, biotite, magnetite, muscvite. Lecturer says the rock is very famous in the mineral industry.
Can I stump You?
What makes a rock like this? It's about 200 pounds, sitting on the tailgate of a pickup box.
