More recent lava flow on flanks of Vesuvius

  • Date Taken (dd-mm-yy): 1st June 2007

There appears to be a more recent lava flow in front of the cliffs. I have no idea as to the age but it does have very little vegetation on it so it's probably more recent than I was expecting. I understand the last major eruption was either 1944 or 1945.
