Geology jobs in Japan?

hey i was wondering if geology jobs in japan are easy to find or not?

Do they have many research facilities?

and also how is it there for micro palentology?

Just curious cause i love the place would love to spend time there after my studies. Big grin

Not sure to be honest, it's not somewhere I've looked into for jobs. Hopefully someone else will know. If all else fails there is the ever-powerful, all-knowing Google Big grin

yeah thought about that but i'd rather have a geologiests opinion on the situation over there than a list of current jobs as i still have 3 years to finish my degree and masters

Better be careful in Japan Merkins. It 'wobbles' a lot Winking Mind you thats due to the seismic activity. Go to USGS site and follow the earthquake links. You will be amazed at just how many earthquakes they have - particularly Honshu. That harea has been very active over the past few months.

Lots of opportunities for geology in Japan...depending on how your japanese is... I know a few people who have gone over there and really enjoyed it (good facilities, good geology, good people) although it can be expensive...
