Spanish Geological Maps for free.

The Instituto Geológico y Minero Español has took out the whole geological cartography from Spain. I know that people like John could be interested on the matter.

So, this is the link: http://www.igme.es/internet/principal.asp

Firstly, you must sign in.

Secondly, you go to Sistemas de información geográfica (just on the right side of the website) and then the page show: Cartografía del IGME, you must press on Mapas escaneados(second option on the first epigraph=Magna 50).

Thirdly, in the next page (which it will appear) press on Si.

Eventually, look for the name of the place you are looking for and you will get it!!!.

If you have some question, ask me Winking

See you.

I'll let you know where we shall be as soon as I get the itinery. I'm sure we can meet up. I shall be hiring a car, so perhaps one evening? It does mean I shall have to have an evening off the San Migual. Not too happy about that!!!

Hi Javi,

Just been back to the link you gave for Spanish maps but it won't let me in at all. Doesn't even give me the opportunity to sign in.

What am I doing wrong?

It´s very strange....(I can watch the maps).

Ok, you try to seek for the map you want and donwload it here (without register, OK?):

http://www.igme.es/internet/default.htm

1º Mapas geológicos y temáticos.

Then

2º Mapas escaneados.

3º Si

At last, introduce the name of the area or place you need (up on the right side: Búsqueda de Hojas por número/nombre de la hoja Nombre:

(Choose one of the maps you need).

If, finally, the server don´t let you get down the map, tell me, I will download it for you, oK?.

See you, John.

Try again from here, John:

http://www.igme.es/internet/default.htm

And then, you must check in!

When you have done it, then try :

1st Mapas geológicos y temáticos.

Then

2nd Mapas escaneados.

3rd Si

At last, introduce the name of the area or place you need (up on the right side: Búsqueda de Hojas por número/nombre de la hoja Nombre:

And choose one.

Try again, and tell me, because I have downloaded a map right now!
