Ca bearing amphibloids

Can anyone tell me why there is no Ca bearing amphiploids in the amphibole series? ie. as an equivalent to wollastonite in the pyroxene series?

I am not sure i understand

I am not sure i understand your question right but Tremolite, Actinolite and Hornblende all do or can contain Ca, so are Ca-bearing amphibols.

p.s. i never heard the term amphiploids before.

Found it

Sorry, what i meant was an equivalent to a pyroxenoid.... I think that i found the reason. The pyroxene series can be single chains, and therefore is easier to rotate and deform to become the pyroxenoids. Where as the amphiboles are always double chains and therefore make it harder to twist, therefore there is no amphiboloid group. Does that sound about right??
